Toronto Marketing Agency Hiring Social Media Mechanic

We’re looking for a bright, energetic person to join our team at The Marketing Garage. We’re a small crew of marketing consultants who deliver real results based in beautiful downtown Aurora, just north of Toronto. However, while we favour local people, we also work remotely with some of our team. We use a diagnostic approach to help a variety of companies fine-tune their digital marketing using a full toolbox of tactics: branding, design, PPC marketing, video marketing, email marketing, social media marketing, conversion optimization, SEO and traditional advertising. Your initial assignment will be a social and content-heavy position but we’re looking for something with a focus on results and an appreciation for analytics.

• Self-starter 
• Creative and passionate about being on brand 
• Strong copywriting for landing pages, blogs, and social posts 
• Analytic/Strategic thinking with strong opinions 
• Understanding that “it’s all about the numbers” and conversion 
• Hootsuite and other social media marketing platform experience 
• Energetic and not just a 9 to 5’er

• Content creation experience (blogging, social, video, other) including photography
• Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premier)
• Video editing 
• Experience with Google Adwords, Facebook/Instagram Ads, Google Analytics

• To deliver on the firm’s overall mission of improving our client’s marketing performance
• Generate fame and fans for The Marketing Garage and its clients through positive growth and engagement in the areas of Social Media including eMail and Blogs. Specifically:
• Creating social media marketing messages for clients and The Marketing Garage working 2 weeks out
• Develop effective social media marketing campaigns (paid promotion) including set-up, insightful targeting and message-testing
• Creating compelling, SEO-friendly blog posts for clients and The Marketing Garage. Sometimes this means optimizing the writing of others.
• Initial and ongoing audits of client’s blogs, social and email marketing activity compared to best practices to identify the problem/opportunity for the Marketing Garage
• Ensure all creative work meets our standards of high-quality branding and marketing performance.
• Monitoring Social Media accounts & Blogs for comments and messages and dealing with each accordingly
• Proofing and approval from key stakeholders
• Contribute to Monthly reporting with actionable insight and ideas from your ara
• Other duties as necessary

• % of traffic coming from Social Media pre and post your involvement
• Increase in Social Media traffic in absolute terms pre and post your involvement
• % of Pageviews coming to the Blogs pre and post your involvement
• Number of shares of blog posts pre/post involvement
• % of traffic coming from eMail Marketing
• eMail open and click-thru rates
• Click-Thru Rate and Cost-Per-Click of Paid Social Promotion
• Shares, re-tweets, likes of content including re-posting by key influencers
• Conversion of engagement to quality site traffic and leads
• Individual marketing performance of clients vs. objectives.

9:00 am – 5:00 pm Monday to Friday with a one hour lunch break. It is understood that these reflect the company’s core hours of operation, however, extra hours will be required as business dictates particularly as client social media needs are sometimes 7 days a week.  Under COVID restrictions, you will initially work remotely.
