This post provides a very cool example of small ways to build big brands.
What do you guess the following packaging contains?
Some jewelry?
A decorative item for your house?
Would you be surprised to know it’s a chain ring for a bike?
When I’m not running a digital marketing and branding agency, I love to mountain bike. You know that muddy, grimy sport. So imagine my surprise – and delight! – when I got this amazing looking packaging that looks like it belongs at Tiffanys. You’d expect it to be brown and mechanic-looking. But from the logo to the die-cut package it’s a stunning example of zigging when the other guys are zagging.
And, in these days of high cost and low return for most traditional media, it’s a great example of the smaller ways you can build your brand. Think of how many people will see this – and remember it – versus any magazine or banner ads they might do. I know next time I need a chain ring or any bike part, Absolute Black will be right there stuck in my top-of-mind.
Are there any small but big ways to build you’re brand you might be overlooking?
